Police
The Police Department takes great pride in making the Town one of the safest communities along Colorado's Front Range.

Emphasizing education and crime prevention, we've seen the number of major crimes in Castle Rock decline since 2000, despite doubling in population and a slowing economy over the same period.

The department's more than 80 employees include 60 sworn and 23 civilian personnel, in areas such as
K-9 units, Community Policing and Investigations.

Responsibilities
  • Maintains public safety in
    Castle Rock
  • Enforces the law in a fair and impartial manner, recognizing the statutory and judicial limitations of police authority and the constitutional rights of all persons
